Segerberg Mayhew Architects Resort, Lodge, and Residential Architects in Vail, Colorado

A private residence located just outside Edwards, Colorado at the Cordillera Valley Club, this house was designed for an internationally successful businesswoman and her family. Following the style of traditional Colorado regional architecture, the house takes advantage of its wonderful setting by capturing stunning views of the New York Mountain Range to the south. Exterior materials were selected to blend with the high-mountain desert landscape and the natural terrain. The interior finishes, especially the millwork details, were integrated in an eclectic manner to gain a vaiety of interior interest throughout the house. Windows were carefully designed to frame the distant views, while using a system of computerized sun controling devices to modulate solar gain. Exterior covered decks subtely transitioned interior and exterior spaces.
